They do lots of things behind-the-scenes to make air travel less terrible , even for passengers stuck in economy. And they put up with passengers who have poor manners or make questionable choices when they get on the plane. So how much do flight attendants make for all that hard work? I was broke — oh was I broke — but there was pool time in Miami, rollerblading in Rio, window shopping in Rome But for most flight attendants, all we see at the end of a long day is a Holiday Inn at an industrial park a mile away from the airport.
I feel sorry for new flight attendants mske. Their days are longer and their layovers are flivht nonexistent. Now add in flights that are fuller than ever, travelers acting crazyand whatever contagious disease is going around, and — oh yeah — terrorism, and you have to wonder: Is it still worth it? Airlines are advertising new planes, flat beds, more attendft — particularly for first and business class — to try attfndet convince the public that they are committed to making the flying experience better.
